The Membership Committee considers applications for WAFP membership and investigates the qualifications of applicants, encourages enrollment of new members and aids new county or district chapters. The Committee also serves as a liaison for qualified physicians, recent medical graduates and the Academy; oversees Academy-wide communication efforts and WAFP publications to ensure that key messages about the availability, quality, and value of WAFP programs and services are delivered to members; and represents the interests of WAFP’s under-represented constituents and underserved patient populations. The Membership Committee and its sub-committees are also responsible for devising programs and professional activities to promote membership interest and active participation in local chapters.
