59th Annual Scientific Assembly
A Life Worth Working For: Family Medicine 2008
May 16-17, 2008
Suncadia Resort, Cle Elum, WA
The Washington Academy of Family Physicians (WAFP) invites you to sponsor and/or exhibit at its 2008 Annual Scientific Assembly (ASA) with the theme,
A Life Worth Working For: Family Medicine 2008
. Over 200 private and public health professionals from the Northwest gather to receive innovative, high quality, evidence-based continuing medical education, scientific updates and practice enhancement strategies specific to Family Medicine.
In 2007, the WAFP’s ASA was a ground breaking educational event in Family Medicine; the exhibit, and lecture halls were completely free from aggressive pharmaceutical company marketing efforts, creating an environment that supported record-breaking physician attendance in the exhibit hall. We are optimistic that the WAFP “pharmaceutical-free” ASA guidelines will lead a national trend; but in any case, our members support this initiative, and it has created an environment much more conducive to you reaching WAFP members with information about your products, programs, or services.
Collaborative partnerships with sponsors and exhibitors are developed to create opportunities that benefit all attendees. Support of the Assembly enables your organization to showcase its products and services to family physicians and other health professionals. Your support:
Will assist the Academy in its efforts to equip attendees to make care decisions based on high quality evidence based CME courses.
Will assist the Academy in its effort to introduce attendees to practical approaches to practice re-design initiatives promoted by the New Model of primary care.
Will help foster opportunities for high-quality education and interaction between medical students, Family Medicine residents and established physicians ensuring a healthy pipeline of physicians for the future.
Will empower family physicians and primary care providers to be agents of change in their own communities.
Why should you partner with WAFP in hosting its 59th Annual Scientific Assembly?
Here are just a few of the incentives and opportunities you can take advantage of as an exhibitor or sponsor:
Expanded invitation list includes ARNPs, PAs, Pediatricians, Internists and other primary care specialists, bringing attendance to 175-225. Exhibitors/sponsors receive a list of conference registrants when they check-in.
Launch your programs, new products or services and acquaint physicians with the benefits of your existing programs, products and services.
Enjoy a more focused and professional atmosphere for exhibitors with record breaking physician attendance.
Maximize your investment with the extended “open” hours for exhibits and dedicated break times for conference attendees to visit your booth.
Exhibits will be located very close to the CME plenary and workshop sessions.
Great sponsorship opportunities! See attached Sponsorship Opportunities page for details. Sponsorships available for plenary sessions, meals, workshop sessions, and morning/afternoon breaks. Additional exhibitor discounts available at some sponsorship levels.
Show your support for the specialty of Family Medicine as the WAFP pioneers a new future for administering Scientific Assemblies.
Experience Suncadia, Washington’s newest premier resort location, nestled high above the Cle Elum River in the heart of the Cascade foothills. The Lodge at Suncadia is nothing less than a majestic retreat, providing unparalleled access to pristine Northwest outdoor recreation including two world-class golf courses, a luxurious spa, recreation center, and miles of hiking trails.
