ASA COURSE OBJECTIVES:

  •             Provide evidence-based CME courses, equipping family physicians and primary care providers with information to make knowledge-based decisions in multiple practice facets including clinical, business, and policy.
  •             Inform family physicians and primary care providers of practical approaches to the transforming practices based on the concept of a relationship focused patient-centered medical home.
  •             Educate family physicians and primary care providers in the current evidence-based management of medical conditions encountered by Family Medicine specialists.
  •             Support family physicians achievement of Maintenance of Certification requirements by facilitating ABFM Self-Assessment Modules.
  •             Empower family physicians and primary care providers to be agents of change in their own communities, dealing with the public and policy makers at any level.
  •          Foster opportunities for high-quality education and interaction between medical students, Family Medicine residents, mid-level providers and family physicians ensuring a healthy pipeline of physicians for the future.
  •           Promote healthy self-care behaviors in family physicians.
