General Conference Information

Conference Hotel
Nestled high above the Cle Elum River with spectacular river valley and mountain panoramas in the heart of the Cascade foothills, The Lodge at Suncadia is nothing less than a majestic retreat, providing unparalleled access to pristine Northwest outdoor recreation. Suncadia includes two world-class golf courses, a luxurious spa, swimming pools, and miles of trails to explore.

Conference Rates
A special WAFP conference rate of $189 plus tax (includes Deluxe Room rate plus resort fee) has been arranged for conference attendees, effective May 14-15, 2010.  Please call The Lodge at Suncadia directly at 866-904-6300 and mention WAFP.  The rate is guaranteed through April 1; reservations made after that date are subject to availability and current prices.

Driving: Centrally located in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains, Suncadia is 82 miles from Seattle, from Bellingham165, from Olympia 123, from Yakima, 66, from Tri-Cities 143, and from Spokane 204.

By air: Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) and Yakima Air Terminal (YKM) are the nearest airports.  Rental cars are available at either location or you may reserve a ride with The Airporter Shuttle (www.airporter.com), which makes 4 trips per day between Yakima – Cle Elum – and Seattle-Tacoma Airport.  Suncadia will provide a courtesy shuttle from the drop off point in Cle Elum with prior notification. Please call The Lodge directly to be picked up from shuttle location.

Syllabus Materials
The course syllabi will be provided on CD-ROM and will be mailed to the address listed on the registration two-weeks prior to the conference. If the attendee prefers to work with printed materials, please print the syllabus materials prior to arriving at the conference; there will be no printer availability at the conference. Power strips will be provided for the ASA plenary sessions only. Replacement CDs will be available at the conference for $5.  If you prefer a hard copy of the ASA syllabus, please order on registration at a cost of $30.

Exhibitors
Please take time during the ASA breaks to visit exhibitors and thank them for supporting the Scientific Assembly.  Exhibits will be open from Friday morning through Saturday at noon.  We are proud to provide physicians and conference attendees an environment free from pharmaceutical marketing for the fourth year.
