Get Involved

WAFP Committees for Residents
Your WAFP leadership is always interested in expanding resident participation in its committees. As a member-driven organization, the WAFP engages on issues of significance to family physicians.  The concerns and challenges you face help us to identify priorities and drive the agendas the Academy develops to represent you – in Washington and nationally.

Meetings are open to any member with an interest in the subject. Resident participation and representation is welcome and requested on all committees. If you have an interest in being a Resident representative to a committee or commission please contact your Resident Trustee or Jessica Solberg, the Student & Resident Liaison at the WAFP office: Jessica@wafp.net or 425-747-3100.

Do They Need My Feedback?
Absolutely! You are the future of Family Medicine and the WAFP relies on resident input to help structure a number of ongoing programs, including the Student/Resident Track at the Annual Scientific Assembly, legislative and public health issues, and on the finance committee, just to name a few.

What Kind of Time Commitment is Involved?
Meetings: face-to-face meetings held twice each year on the second Saturday of February and September.  Other meetings held by conference call or email.
