How Can I Get Involved?
It is very easy to get involved with WAFP Commissions and
Committees.  Meetings are open to any member with an interest in
the subject.  Student participation and representation is welcome and
requested on all committees.  If you have an interest in being a
student representative to a committee or commission please contact
your Student Trustee or Jessica Solberg, the Student & Resident
Liaison at the WAFP office: Jessica@wafp.net or 425-747-3100.

You can also sign up to be on the ListServe for your favorite
Committee/Commissions.  Just contact the WAFP staff and request
to be added to the list serve.  Contact information for
Committee/Commission Chairs is located on our website at
            www.wafp.net.

What Kind of Time Commitment is Involved?
Committees and Commissions meet 2-3 times per year—usually on
a Saturday Morning just prior to the Board of Directors’ meeting.
Committees may also choose to meet at other mutually agreed upon
times.  Otherwise business is conducted by e-mail or conference call.

Do They Need My Feedback?
Absolutely! You are the future of family medicine and the WAFP relies
on student input to help structure a number of ongoing programs,
including the Student/Resident Track at the Annual Scientific
Assembly, legislative issues, informational technology, and on the
finance committee, just to name a few.
